Lyrics of ‘Merciful Father’ by Matt Redman

Merciful Father, we have wandered from Your ways
Sinned against Heaven and against Your holy name
We haven’t loved You with our whole heart
We haven’t loved our neighbor as ourselves
But You’re a merciful Father, You’re a merciful Father

Oh, You’re rich in love, You’re rich in love, so rich in love
Oh, You’re good to us, You’re good to us, so good to us
What a beautiful kindness, what a gift of forgiveness
Oh, You’re rich in love, You’re rich in love, so rich in love

You are faithful forever and we will turn our hearts to You
You’re the gift and the giver, every day Your mercy new
Now to love You with a whole heart
Now to love our neighbor as ourselves
You’re a merciful Father, You’re a merciful Father

Oh, You’re rich in love, You’re rich in love, so rich in love
Oh, You’re good to us, You’re good to us, so good to us
What a beautiful kindness, what a gift of forgiveness
Oh, You’re rich in love, You’re rich in love, so rich in love

Now to love You with a whole heart
Now to love our neighbor as ourselves
Now to love You with a whole heart
Now to love our neighbor as ourselves, Oh

Oh, You’re rich in love, You’re rich in love, so rich in love
Oh, You’re good to us, You’re good to us, so good to us
What a beautiful kindness, what a gift of forgiveness
Oh, You’re rich in love, You’re rich in love, so rich in love

So good
What a beautiful kindness, what a gift of forgiveness
Oh, You’re rich in love, You’re rich in love, so rich in love
