Lyrics: Yes Jesus Love Me (Wrong About You) by Israel & New Breed

Jesus loves me, this I know,
for the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong;
they are weak, but he is strong.

Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

I used to believe
So many stories
That You wouldn’t like me
If You knew me
That I have to strive
To see Your glory
I was taught to believe
That You were distant
That You’d strike me down
If I had missed it
That Grace wasn’t free
l’d have to earn it, to earn it
But I’m unlearning and

I’m so glad
I was wrong about You
I’m so glad
I was wrong about You
Now I know the truth

I used to think
That You were angry
That there were conditions
To Your Mercy
And if I worked hard enough
Then You Would save me
You would save me
But I’m unlearning and

I’m so glad
I was wrong about You
( I’ve never been so glad
To get it wrong)
I’m so glad
I was wrong about You
(Cause now my heart
Can sing a different Song)
I’m so glad
I was wrong about You
I’m so glad
I was wrong about You
Now I know the truth

And now I know the truth
It set me free
You’re not upset with me
But you’re obsessed with me
