Lyrics: Ahead of Myself by Devin Kennedy

I’m always on time
I’m never late
Even when I got a lot on my plate
I never rush
Or fall behind
Clock keeps on ticking
I take it in stride

Ever since I met you

Things have been crazy
I have been so turned around
But it’s been amazing
Three words slipped out of my mouth
And everything’s changing
Say that you won’t let me down
Feeling some things that I’ve never felt
When I’m with you
I get ahead of myself

I’m cancelling plans
To spend time with you
I called out of work
Said I have the flu
Doing all these things I normally wouldn’t do

Ever since I met you

Things have been crazy
I have been so turned around
But it’s been amazing
Three words slipped out of my mouth
And everything’s changing
Say that you won’t let me down
Feeling some things that I’ve never felt
When I’m with you
I get ahead of myself

So far in the future
I can see you and me
So far in the future
Growing our family tree

Things have been crazy
I have been turned around
But it’s been amazing
Three words slipped out of my mouth
And everything’s changing
Say that you won’t let me down
Feeling some things that I’ve never felt
When I’m with you
I get ahead of myself
