It came upon the midnight clear
That glorious song of old
From angels bending near the earth
To touch their harps of gold

Peace on the earth, good will to men
From heaven’s all gracious King
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing

Still through the cloven skies they come
With peaceful wings unfurled
And still their heavenly music floats
Over the weary world

Peace on the earth, good will to men
From heaven’s all gracious King
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing

I’m worshipping the Father
He is like no other
Listen now me sistren
And hear me now me brother
I’m coming to the King
With this offering and
Listening to all of the angels sing

He came upon a midnight clear
So many years ago
And so we song this raggamuffin song each year
Trying to bring peace to your soul

Yo that is not an alarm
That has my eardrums ringing
That is the sound of the Lord
And all His angels singing

They’re saying “Peace on the earth
Good will to men”
That is the song that the angels (are) singing
“Peace on the earth, good will to men”
That is the sound coming down from heaven

They’re saying “peace on the earth”
“Peace on the earth”
He came upon a midnight clear
Just like the prophecies foretold
And so we sing this reggae Christmas
song each year
Trying to save another soul

Peace on the earth, good will to men
From heaven’s all gracious King
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing
To hear the angels sing
To hear the angels sing
