Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Eyshila was born into a Christian family and was introduced to music and ministry at an early age. Her father, Antรดnio Oliveira Neto, was an evangelist who encouraged her musical development. She began taking piano lessons as a child and participated in church music activities while growing up.

By her teenage years, Eyshila was already pursuing music seriously. In 1987, at approximately 15 years old, she joined Altos Louvores, one of the important gospel groups in Brazil at the time. She remained with the group for several years and recorded a number of projects with them, gaining experience as both a singer and musician.

Her years with Altos Louvores provided an important foundation for her later solo career. During this period, she developed her vocal abilities, songwriting skills, and experience performing before large Christian audiences.

Solo Career and Glorificando

Eyshila began preparing for a solo career in the mid-1990s. In 1995, she released Glorificando, her first solo album. The project introduced her as a distinct voice within Brazilian gospel music and established the foundation for a career that would eventually produce a substantial catalog of albums and worship songs.

She later signed with MK Music, one of Brazil’s leading Christian music companies. Her first major releases with the label included Tira-me do Vale in 1997 and Mais Doce que o Mel in 1999. These albums strengthened her profile within the Brazilian gospel market and helped establish her as both an interpreter and songwriter.

In 2001, she released Deus Proverรก, followed by Na Casa de Deus in 2003. Songs from these projects became important parts of her repertoire, and Na Casa de Deus received a gold certification.

Breakthrough with Terremoto and Atรฉ Tocar o Cรฉu

Eyshila reached another major stage in her career with Terremoto, released in 2005. The album showcased her powerful vocal style and worship-centered songwriting and became one of the best-known projects of her early career.

Terremoto also received a nomination for Best Portuguese Language Christian Album at the Latin Grammy Awards. Eyshila went on to receive further Latin Grammy nominations for Atรฉ Tocar o Cรฉu in 2007, Nada Pode Calar um Adorador in 2010, and Jesus, O Brasil Te Adora in 2013. The Latin Recording Academy lists three nominations under her artist profile through the 26th Latin Grammy Awards, while Brazilian biographical sources commonly describe her career as having four nominations across these years.

In 2007, Eyshila released Atรฉ Tocar o Cรฉu, another major project in her catalog. The album produced the widely recognized song “Nada Pode Calar um Adorador” and became closely associated with her ministry and musical identity. A Spanish-language version, Hasta Tocar el Cielo, followed in 2008.

Voices and Musical Collaborations

Alongside her solo work, Eyshila became a member of Voices, a Brazilian female gospel vocal group formed by Marina de Oliveira, Fernanda Brum, Eyshila, Liz Lanne, and Jozyanne. The group later became known for its distinctive vocal arrangements and collaboration among some of Brazil’s prominent female gospel artists.

Voices released projects including Colores del Amor, Por Toda Vida, Coraรงรตes Gratos, Alianรงa, Revoluรงรฃo, and Sobreviverei. The group provided another platform for Eyshila to demonstrate her vocal versatility and work within a collective worship and performance setting.

She also collaborated extensively with Fernanda Brum. Their partnership produced the Amigas projects, released in 2008 and 2009. Amigas 2 won the Duo of the Year category at the Trofรฉu Talento awards.

Later Albums and Major Songs

Eyshila continued releasing albums throughout the 2010s, including Sonhos Nรฃo Tรชm Fim in 2011, Jesus, O Brasil Te Adora in 2012, Deus no Controle in 2014, and O Milagre Sou Eu in 2016.

Her 2016 album O Milagre Sou Eu became particularly significant within her personal and artistic journey. The project was shaped by experiences of grief and faith following the death of her son, Matheus, and addressed themes of perseverance, dependence on God, and hope in the midst of suffering.

Other important recordings in her catalog include “Fiel a Mim,” “Espรญrito Santo,” “Deus Proverรก,” “Posso Clamar,” “Simplesmente Te Adorar,” “Senhor que Cura,” and “Coraรงรฃo Valente.” These songs have helped make her music familiar within Brazilian churches and the wider Portuguese-speaking Christian music community.

She subsequently released projects including Vai Amanhecer, Tudo Volta ao Seu Lugar, and Gratidรฃo, continuing to develop her worship-oriented sound.

Ministry, Writing and Personal Life

Beyond music, Eyshila has developed a career as a pastor, author, and speaker. Her books have allowed her to address aspects of Christian faith and personal experience that also appear in her music. Her published works include Uma Histรณria de Amor e Perseveranรงa, Nada Pode Calar uma Mulher de Fรฉ, and Gotas de Consolo.

Her ministry has frequently emphasized perseverance, prayer, healing, and trust in God. Personal experiences have played an important role in this message, particularly the loss of her son and the way that experience influenced her music and public ministry.

Eyshila is married to Odilon Santos and has two children. She has continued to balance her roles as a recording artist, worship leader, pastor, writer, and speaker.

30 Years of Music and Continuing Career

Eyshila’s career reached its 30-year milestone as a solo recording artist in the 2020s. She continued releasing music and performing while revisiting important moments from her extensive catalog.

In 2026, she marked three decades of solo ministry with the 30 Anos Eyshila project, a major live recording featuring numerous Brazilian gospel artists and musicians associated with different stages of her career.
