Jonathan McReynolds – Calling My Name

Calling My Name Mp3 Download Song by Jonathan McReynolds

Jonathan McReynolds is a two time Grammy Award winning American gospel artist, songwriter, author, and Distinguished Professor at Virginia Union University whose music is known for bringing faith, honesty, and everyday human experience into the same conversation. His songwriting often explores the tension between spiritual truth and real life, with a willingness to address the questions, struggles, and contradictions that believers experience.

His new song “Calling My Name” is a deeply personal reflection on God’s grace and His persistent invitation to draw near, even when we have fallen short. It speaks to the believer who knows what it feels like to make the same mistakes, struggle with disobedience, and wonder how God can continue to show mercy after repeated failures. Yet, at the heart of the song is a beautiful truth: our failures do not silence God’s call. Even when guilt makes us want to withdraw, God continues to call us closer, reminding us that His grace is not an excuse to remain unchanged but an invitation to return to Him.

Lyrics: Calling My Name by Jonathan McReynolds

How many times
Do I go against Your will
Then You forgive me
But yet I still
Turn around and do the things
The things I shouldn’t do
‘Cause I belong to You
And I know You will come through

Lord I know
I take advantage of Your grace
Here in this Christian race
Ohh
Oh Lord I’ve sinned
But You’re still calling my name
Mhhmmm
Oh Lord I’ve sinned
But You’re still calling my name
Ohhh
Oh Lord I’ve sinned
But You’re still calling me
