Fhop Music

FHOP music is a Brazilian contemporary Christian music ministry based in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. The musical ministry grew out of the Florianópolis House of Prayer (FHOP), a Christian prayer community dedicated to prayer, worship and biblical teaching. Rather than functioning simply as a conventional worship band, fhop music brings together singers, musicians and songwriters who serve within the wider prayer-room ministry.

Formation and the Florianópolis House of Prayer

fhop music emerged from the Florianópolis House of Prayer, commonly known as FHOP. The broader ministry was established in Florianópolis in 2014 with the purpose of developing a sustained environment of prayer and worship.

Music became an integral part of that environment. Musicians and singers served through regular worship sets in the prayer room, where spontaneous singing, Scripture-based songs and extended worship became part of the ministry’s daily rhythm. Over time, these musicians began developing original songs that could communicate the biblical truths and themes being explored within the prayer room.

Early Recordings

fhop music began releasing recorded music in the mid-2010s. Its early catalog included Nossa Adoração, released in 2016, followed by projects such as Onething (Acústico) and the fhop Live recordings.

The ministry’s 2018 projects included Grandes Feitos, Dia e Noite, Sem Cessar, Até Que Ele Venha and Em Majestade. These recordings helped establish the group’s live worship sound and introduced its music to a growing audience beyond Florianópolis.

During this period, fhop music also developed songs that would later become important parts of its repertoire. Its music increasingly circulated through churches, worship teams and online Christian music communities throughout Brazil.

Breakthrough and Notable Songs

The ministry’s reach expanded considerably through songs such as “Ruja o Leão,” which became one of its most recognizable worship recordings. Other important songs include “Vitorioso És,” “Emanuel,” “Ousado Amor,” “Seu Amor Me Venceu” and “Não Descansarei.”

“Colossenses e Suas Linhas de Amor,” released in collaboration with Marco Telles, became another widely recognized song in the ministry’s catalog. The song reflects the group’s characteristic combination of biblical language and contemporary congregational worship.

Another major recording is “Único,” also associated with Marco Telles. The song became one of fhop music’s most visible releases and was later recorded by other Christian artists, helping introduce the composition to an even broader audience.

Major Projects

fhop music continued expanding its catalog with projects including Moments, Espontâneos Salmos, Espontâneos Parábolas and Infindável. The Espontâneos recordings were particularly connected to the ministry’s prayer-room environment, incorporating spontaneous expressions of worship around biblical texts.

In 2022, the ministry released Batendo à Porta and the collaborative project Eita! Mesma Língua, Diferentes Sotaques with Marco Telles. The latter explored the unity of Christians from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds while bringing together songs from the two artists.

The following year brought several live projects, including Onething 2022, Orai – Momentos and Infindável. These releases further demonstrated the ministry’s emphasis on live worship and Scripture-centered songwriting.

A Boa Parte and Recent Work

In 2024, fhop music released A Boa Parte, a major live project featuring several of the ministry’s musicians. The album included songs such as “A Boa Parte,” “Somente Cristo,” “Nos Últimos Dias,” “Uma Vez,” “Primeiro Lugar” and “Tu És + Águas Purificadoras.”

The project featured multiple members of the ministry rather than presenting fhop music as the work of a single frontperson. This collective structure is an important part of the group’s identity, with different singers and musicians taking leading roles on individual songs.

The ministry followed the project with further releases including Meia Noite in 2025, Vinde, Cantemos! and Camp Session Portugal. In 2026, fhop music continued its recording activity with projects including Camp Sessions Vol. 3 and De Volta, demonstrating that the ministry remains active in both studio and live worship settings.

Musicians and Ministry

fhop music has featured a rotating group of singers, musicians and songwriters rather than maintaining a fixed lineup. The ministry’s official musician archive has included artists such as Leonardo Nunes, Isabella Berreta, Diego Altobele, Marcos Woitowitz, Jean Carlo, Lucas Costa, Gabriel Nóbrega, Felipe Eubank, Daniela Teles, Filipe Hitzschky, Laura Souguellis and Caio Freitas.
