Lyrics: Christmas Eve by Jordan St. Cyr

The fire’s almost down to embers
It lights the gifts beneath the tree
Some they’ve wanted for forever
Some beyond what they could dream

This house is silent now but
Oh the joy that’s on the way
A father’s heart can hardly wait
To give his children something too good to believe
I’ve been counting down the days
I wonder if you did the same
The night before you gave the greatest gift to me
God is this the way you felt on Christmas Eve

You planned it out before creation
Jesus always on your mind
The holiest anticipation
For a savior in a manger
So close it’s almost time

Oh the joy that’s on the way
A father’s heart can hardly wait
To give his children something too good to believe
I’ve been counting down the days
I wonder if you did the same
The night before you gave the greatest gift to me
God is this the way you felt on Christmas Eve

This house is silent now
But all I can think about is
Oh the joy that’s on the way
A father’s heart can hardly wait
To give his children something too good to believe
I’ve been counting down the days
I wonder if you did the same
The night before you gave the greatest gift to me
God is this the way you felt on Christmas Eve
